How does the HumidX/HumidX Plus compare with traditional CPAP humidification?

The HumidX and HumidX Plus heat-moisture exchangers are waterless humidifiers. They allow exhaled air to pass through before reaching the mask’s vent. In typical overnight conditions (61 - 72°F [16 - 22°C] and a dry room of 20-30% relative humidity) the HumidX/HumidX Plus provides air to the patient at 70-80% relative humidity. This helps ensure minimal heat and moisture loss and allows HumidX/HumidX Plus to deliver humidification performance similar to ResMed's AirSense 10 with a humidifier setting between 2 and 5 using an unheated tube.
