      What should patients do if they do not feel they are getting adequate humidification?

      Mask leak can affect the performance of the HumidX/HumidX Plus heat-moisture exchanger. As a result, HumidX/HumidX Plus is more suited to low leak users. You should consider the patient's environmental sleeping conditions, as variability in ambient humidity can impact the performance of the HumidX/HumidX Plus. To maximize humidification for your patients, we recommend the following:

      1. Ensure the patient has a good mask seal. The patient can use the Mask Fit feature of the AirMini app to assist in adjusting the mask.

      2. If the mask seal is good, but the patient still experiences dryness, try the HumidX Plus.

      If neither of these options help, waterless humidification may not be suitable for the patient's needs. The patient may be better served by the active humidification on an AirSense 10 machine.
