Is it possible to use the SlimLine tube with the S8? Is it possible to use the SimLine tube with another device?

No. the SlimLine tube is ONLY compatible with the S9 Series of Devices. It will not be compatible with other devices because the motors cannot adjust for the smaller diameter tubing.
