SmartStart is enabled, but the device does not automatically stop when the patient removes their mask

AirSense 10, AirStart, AirCurve, Lumis

Possible Cause:
  • Incompatible mask being used.

Solution:
  • Only use masks recommended by ResMed
  • Contact your care provider for more information
  • If the patient is using a nasal pillows mask with set pressure less than 7 cm H2O (7 hPa), SmartStart will not work and should be disabled
